Crouch
Crouch is a three piece band consisting of Wim Coppers (Wiegedood, Oathbreaker, Rise And Fall, Living Gate etc) on drums, Jasper Hollevoet (Ventilateur) on bass and Levy Seynaeve (Wiegedood, Oathbreaker, ex-Amenra, Living Gate) on guitars and vocals. On the new album they have shifted drastically towards the more progressive side of late 90’s, early 2000’s, heavy music rooted in punk hardcore. A general slow and weighty feel on one side, and on the other its unexpected hooks and angles, the record has been described as the brain child of Kickback and Captain Beefheart, raised by uncle Botch.

This Amsterdam-based interdimensional dub group skirt and flirt around a motorik kraut-rock mentality with an unsuspected physicality and an uncategorisable sense of experimentation. Jephté Kweto (a.k.a. jev.) is a Congolese-Canadian refugee who considers himself a loner. As a citizen of the world, jev aims to bring people together from all walks of life through his “it’s okay to be different” overarching message and his experimental music, which contains various styles and genres (particularly alternative hip-hop and R&B) inspired by legends like Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Andre 3000, Nas, YMCMB, and Jay Z.
