2026 Archieven - Hit The City

Nyarko

By combining her Ghanaian roots with her Dutch upbringing, Nyarko uniquely blends different cultures and languages in a vibrant afro sound. Growing up in a musical household, expect catchy beats, insightful lyrics and contagious energy.

Crouch

Crouch is a three piece band consisting of Wim Coppers (Wiegedood, Oathbreaker, Rise And Fall, Living Gate etc) on drums, Jasper Hollevoet (Ventilateur) on bass and Levy Seynaeve (Wiegedood, Oathbreaker, ex-Amenra, Living Gate) on guitars and vocals. On the new album they have shifted drastically towards the more progressive side of late 90’s, early 2000’s, heavy music rooted in punk hardcore. A general slow and weighty feel on one side, and on the other its unexpected hooks and angles, the record has been described as the brain child of Kickback and Captain Beefheart, raised by uncle Botch.

Wijf

This Ghent-based quartet delivers raw energy, heavy riffs and powerful vocals. The voice of singer Marie can be ethereal, then groovy, but always with a twist. Expect a professional teardown of stages.

Pixie McCann

Pixie McCann is an indie pop singer-songwriter known for her emotional, highly personal songwriting. Her music blends melodic acoustic elements with contemporary indie pop sensibilities. Her artistry as a singer-songwriter is evident in both her songwriting and on-stage charisma, and she has already begun to carve out a name for herself through a series of notable performances. For those passionate about discovering genuine, emerging talent in live music, following Pixie McCann is essential. Don’t miss one of indie pop’s most promising new voices live on stage.

Devon Rexi

This Amsterdam-based interdimensional dub group skirt and flirt around a motorik kraut-rock mentality with an unsuspected physicality and an uncategorisable sense of experimentation. As much as they create something fantastical and yet-unheard, their priority is in understanding vulnerability and friction, reality and fragility, mythologies and everyday resistances. They do this artfully and honestly through an almost deceptively simple arrangement of percussion, bass, and melody.

Mek'Dr'Dr

With a playful approach, this Brussels-based postpunk duo explores themes such as the ugliness of Flemish ribbon development and societal norms. Mien Heyvaert and Sara De Wit serve groovy basslines and chaotic rhythms as their key ingredients for a minimalist postpunk sauce. Their debut EP ‘No Safer Place Than A Toilet Seat’ invites you to embrace imperfection and delves into love, empathic activism, and the absurdity of life.

CLUB BRAT

CLUB BRAT are a five-piece Punk/Noise Pop explosion, built on jagged guitar lines, heavy low-end dissonance, and rhythms that never sit still for long. Born in Peterborough and now split between Bristol and London, the band formed in 2023 and wasted no time carving out their own chaos. Their reputation has grown fast: feral, unpredictable live shows where control feels just out of reach, powered by a relentless DIY ethos that keeps everything raw, urgent, and unapologetically loud.

jev.

Jephté Kweto (a.k.a. jev.) is a Congolese-Canadian refugee who considers himself a loner. As a citizen of the world, jev aims to bring people together from all walks of life through his “it’s okay to be different” overarching message and his experimental music, which contains various styles and genres (particularly alternative hip-hop and R&B) inspired by legends like Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Andre 3000, Nas, YMCMB, and Jay Z.

Meryl Streek

Meryl Streek is an upcoming artist and producer from Dublin, Ireland, who has been making an international impression since the early 2020s with a unique blend of avant-garde punk, experimental electronica, and post-punk. His music combines raw energy, political themes, and cross-genre soundscapes — with spoken word, beats, and distorted instruments that together form an unconventional, driven sound close to the underground scene.

DITTER

Behind the name Ditter stands a trio, but above all a sound that hits both body and heart. Their music is vibrant and organic. Full of anthemic songs you can’t help but sing along to, smiling and moving with the groove. Blending pop love, a spark of punk, a pinch of cynicism, and a sharp sense of humor, these back-row troublemakers are here to set the stage on fire. For them, music is expression, connection, and finally togetherness.
