General Information

Hit The City is a free music festival that takes place at various outdoor and indoor locations across Eindhoven. The festival offers a diverse mix of music genres with a mix of established artists as well as new emerging ones.  

The festival will be held from Thursday 29th of august to Sunday the 1st of September with acts spread across different days and locations in Eindhoven.

Yes, all acts during Hit The City are free of charge. However, some acts have a limited capacity, so make sure to be on time.

Locations and accessibility

The festival takes place at multiple locations throughout the city of Eindhoven, including two outdoor stages at Ketelhuisplein and 10 indoor locations. A complete overview of the locations can be found on our website under ‘venues’.

The locations are easily accessible by public transport, bike, or on foot. We recommend using public transport, as parking is limited. Check for more information the ‘Getting There’ page. 

Parking is limited. We highly recommend using public transport or biking. However, some locations do offer limited parking. Please park your car at one of the P+R locations and take public transport. You can also make use  use of the bike-sharing system. .

Program and facilities

The full program and timetable are available on our website and in the Timesquare app. You can filter by date, venue and genre. 

First aid station is located at Ketelhuisplein. This station is clearly marked with a sign and are staffed by trained medical professionals. If you or someone else needs medical assistance at the other location, you can ask any staff member or security personnel for directions. We’re here to help ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience. 

Food and drink

To keep Hit the City free, we do not allow visitors to bring their own food and drinks onto the festival grounds at Ketelhuisplein and into the venues.  

There will be some stands offering food at Ketelhuisplein, plus there are a lot of restaurants nearby all the festival locations. 

Of course, you can purchase various beverages on all locations. Please note that alcohol is only allowed for persons 18 years and older. If in doubt, our colleagues will ask for official identification. 

When you buy your first drink, you’ll pay an additional 1 euro for the cup, bottle or can. Return your cup, bottle or can when you get a next drink to avoid paying the fee again. By returning your cup, you help reduce waste and keep the festival site clean. The 1 euro fee paid for a cup, bottle or can will not be refunded and helps make our free music festival possible.
