Morpheus

Morpheus is an Amsterdam-based singer-songwriter who creates cinematic pop music that lends itself to ‘chanson’, but adopts a contemporary writing style. After the unexpected loss of his mother, Morpheus decided to transform this poignant experience into strength, healing, and wisdom; he decided to work on the music that would result in the debut EP ‘Morphosis.’ Each song was recorded in one take in the living room, so the mechanics of the piano and every breath can be heard. Inspired by Jacques Brel and Kate Bush, the project revolves around telling real stories with soulful vocals. For Morpheus, beauty lies not in a perfect recording but in capturing the moment. With ‘Morphosis,’ he manages to deeply touch the audience.
